Women's Tennis Holds On to Beat Kean, 6-3

QUEENS, N.Y. - September 29, 2018 - The Pratt Institute women's tennis team was able to best Kean University Saturday afternoon, winning 6-3, at the USTA Tennis Center.

With the victory, the Cannoneers advances to 8-2, while the Cougars drop to 1-5.

Pratt won two out of their three doubles matches, with the pairing of Amanda Twu and Melanie Kania (8-4), and Amy Young and Caroline Madden (8-3) securing victories.

Twu was challenged in the first singles slot but was able to defeat her opponent, (6-4, 1-6, 11-9).

The Cannoneers also picked up wins from the 2nd, 3rd, and 6th single positions, as Kania, Young, and Isabel Campbell were all victorious.

Up Next: Pratt will travel to Sarah Lawrence tomorrow, Sunday, September 30th, in Bronxville, NY. First serve is scheduled for 12:00 PM.
